The 8th meeting of the Requirements and Standards Group of SparkLink Alliance was held in Beijing WeiShi International Cultural Exchanges Center on Oct. 20, 2022. More than 110 experts from 34 SparkLink Alliance member participated in the conference onsite or online.
The meeting was co-chaired by Mrs. Yang Hong (joint group leader), director of the Network Technology Office of the Internet of things Research Center, China Electronic Standardization Institute, and Mr. Ge Yuming (group leader), deputy director of the Department of Vehicle Networking and Intelligent Traffic Research of the Institute of Technology and Standard, China Academic of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT). Mrs. Wu Hanbing (joint leader), senior engineer of the China Automobile Technology and Research Center, attended the meeting online.
The meeting was preceded by a report from the Secretariat on recent progress of the SparkLink Alliance. Subsequently, Mr. Wang Jingyu, vice president of DDPAI (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd., presented his thoughts to replace wired connections in the vehicles by wireless SparkLink technology and product roadmap. It then comes Mr. Chen Rong, CEO of Zhejiang Shengyan Technology Co., Ltd., who shared application scenarios and requirements of wireless HiFi audio.
For SparkLink 2.0 Standards, leading company including IGRS, QDreamer, Huawei, China Mobile, ZTE, Lenovo and Chongqing University of posts and Telecommunications, reported progress of each project. The six projects are
· SparkLink wireless communication system - basic application layer - Audio and video atomic ability;
· SparkLink wireless communication system - Enhancement of basic service layer;
· SparkLink wireless communication system - Distributed ad hoc networks;
· SparkLink wireless communication system - High precision perception technical requirements and test methods;
· SparkLink wireless communication system - Positioning technical requirements and test methods;
The meeting reviewed and approved two change request projects leading by the CAICT, which are
· SparkLink Release 1.0 SLB change requests;
· SparkLink Release 1.0 SLE change requests.
