On July 20, 2022, the 2nd Meeting of Expert Committee of SparkLink Alliance was held in Beijing. The Expert Committee was convened in an offline and online manner.
Wu Hequan,academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and chairman of the expert committee, physically attended the meeting and gave a speech. A total of 26 expert members from the Alliance participated the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wei Ran, chief engineer of China Academy of Information and Communications Technologies (CAICT) and deputy Director of Expert Committee of SparkLink Alliance.
The participating experts heard report on the Work Progress of SparkLink Alliance from last expert meeting and the work plan for 2022, which were presented by secretariat of the alliance. The experts carefully reviewed the meeting materials and gave guidance and comments.
The Experts Committee approved 11 SparkLink’s Release 1 specifications (draft for approval), which include T/XS 00001-2022（V1.0.0） SparkLink Wireless Communication System- Framework, 9 project proposals for SparkLink’s Release 2 standards, and white book titled “SparkLink Wireless Short Range Communication (Release 1.0) Industry Promotion”.
In the concluding remarks of the meeting, Fellow Wu Hequan affirmed the industry progress and standard achievements of the Saprlink Alliance so far. He commented that the alliance should strengthen the technological innovation and invest more on the potential spectrum resource. He further required the alliance to accelerate the adoption of the SparkLink technology by industrial partners through integration of cross-industry technologies.
