More than 120 experts from 62 members participated in the seventh conference of the SparkLink Alliance requirements and standards work group, which is held online on April 29, 2022.
The meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Yuming GE (group leader), deputy Director of Vehicle Networking and Intelligent Transportation Institute, CAICT, and Mrs. Hong YANG (co-leader), Head of Network Technology Laboratory of Internet of Things (IoT) Center, CIETTS.
After the workshop on SaprkLink Standard Release 2.0 Requirements and Evolution, SparkLink Alliance immediately called for standard proposals. Totally nine project proposals covering evolutionary features and enhancements of the basic application layer, the basic service layer and the SaprkLink access layer were submitted as follows:

During the meeting, representatives from project leading companies introduced the proposal in detail. Respectively, they are from CAICT, IGRS (Shenzhen), China Mobile, Huawei, Beitong, ZTE, Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Lenovo. The proposals were discussed one by one and passed unanimously by the working group. The proposals will be updated per advices and comments at the meeting and submitted to the alliance secretary for follow-up review. The project teams will make a plan and carry out the follow-up standard development work.
