On Nov 29th – 30th, 2021, the Requirements and Standards Group of SparkLink Alliance held its online meeting. More than 60 experts from the 37 alliance members attended the meeting.
Ge Yuming (Group Leader), Vice Director of IOV and Smart Transportation Department of CAICT, and Yang Nan (Deputy Group Leader), Yang Nan (Deputy Group Leader), Vice President of Shenzhen IGRS, jointly presided over the meeting. Yang Hong (Joint Group Leader), from CESI, and Wu Hanbing (Deputy Group Leader), a senior engineer at CATARC, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the experts of the Standards System Draft Group introduced the 11 draft standards involved in SparkLink Release 1.0 respectively, namely SparkLink Wireless Communication System - Architecture, SparkLink Wireless Communication System - Access Layer - Technical Requirements and Test Methods of Low Power Consumption Air Interfaces, SparkLink Wireless Communication System – Test Specifications – Equipment Requirements and Test Methods of Access Layer, SparkLink Wireless Communication System – Test Specifications – Equipment Security Requirements and Test Methods of Access Layer, SparkLink Wireless Communication System – Identification Allocation of Media Access layer, SparkLink Wireless Communication System – Basic Service Layer – Transmission and Control, SparkLink Wireless Communication System – Basic Service Layer – Multi-domain Coordination and Management, SparkLink Wireless Communication System – Basic Service Layer – Service Quality Management, SparkLink Wireless Communication System – Basic Service Layer – Device Discovery and Service Management, SparkLink Wireless Communication System – Basic Service Layer – 5G Cellular Network Convergence, and SparkLink Wireless Communication System –Network Security– General Requirements. Besides, the Secretariat introduced the white paper Industrialization Promotion of SparkLink Wireless Short-Range Communication Technology (SparkLink 1.0). The group and the experts reviewed, discussed, and passed the exposure drafts for the 11 standards and the white paper to submit them to the alliance for approvals.
