On April 15th, 2021, the SparkLink Alliance Industry Summit was successfully held in Shenzhen.
During the summit, the alliance demonstrated the SparkLink 1.0-based prototype Demo System for the first time, including the SparkLink ultra-short latency test system, SparkLink ANC prototype system, SparkLink 5.1 lossless surround sound field prototype system and SparkLink low latency HD projection prototype system.
1. SparkLink Ultra-Short Latency Test System
The SparkLink ultra-short latency test system tested the latency performance of SparkLink wireless transmission via the signal generator, SparkLink 1.0 prototype and oscilloscope. The test results show that the SparkLink end-to-end latency is about 100us, while the air interface transmission is 20us only. In the same conditions, the end-to-end latency of other wireless short-range technology is about 40ms and has obvious transmission vibrations and uncertainty. The system demonstrated the outstanding advantages of SparkLink technology in time delay and certainty transmission.
2. SparkLink ANC System
Jointly developed and demonstrated by CATARC, BAIC and Huawei, the SparkLink ANC system demonstrated the active offset of the SparkLink low latency features for interior noises. Real-world road noise information was rebuilt on the site. An ANC loop was established by using a pickup, a headrest loudspeaker, and an error microphone and the SparkLink low latency synchronous transmission features were used to guarantee the rapid certainty transmission of audio signals, verifying the technical feasibility of wireless ANC in the industry for the first time. The on-site real-time sound field tester shows that the SparkLink ANC system can lower low frequency noises by 5dB on average, the noise reduction effects are similar to those made by wired ANC systems in the same conditions.
3. SparkLink 5.1 Lossless Surround Sound Field Prototype System
Developed and demonstrated by Huawei, the SparkLink 5.1 lossless surround sound field prototype system demonstrated its capacity in supporting lossless multichannel audio transmission. By synchronously transmit non-compressed multichannel audio data in a wireless manner, it can achieve 5.1 sound track Hi-Fi surround sound field effects, making users experience immersed audio and video effects. The system fully demonstrates the advantages of SparkLink technology in us-level synchronization and ultra-low time delay transmission.
4. SparkLink Low Latency HD Projection Prototype System
Jointly developed and demonstrated by Huawei, IGRS, and Lenovo, the SparkLink low latency HD projection prototype system demonstrated the ability of SparkLink technology in transmitting wireless videos. The on-site effects show that, for the same HD video sources, the SparkLink projection has remarkable advantages in color saturation and time delay compared with other technology.
The prototype Demo fully demonstrated the performance advantages of SparkLink technology in low latency, high reliability, accurate synchronization, and multiple concurrences, laying a solid foundation for its widespread applications in smart cars, smart homes, smart terminals, and smart manufacturing.
