Third Meeting of SparkLink Alliance Spectrum Group

On the afternoon of August 19th, 2021, the Spectrum Group of SparkLink Alliance held its third meeting online. More than 20 experts from the 11 alliance members, including the State Radio Monitoring Center Testing Center (Group Leader), Huawei (Deputy Group Leader), CAICT, MediaTek, ZTE, OPPO, VIVO, Sylincom, Honor, ECOCHIP, and ASR attended the meeting.

The Group Leader Zhang Mingyuan, Director of Wireless Technology Dept of the State Radio Monitoring Center Testing Center, presided over the meeting. First of all, the meeting discussed the Analysis Report on SparkLink Spectrum Requirements in detail, coming to a preliminary agreement about spectrum requirements analysis results. The candidate frequency bands and coexistence research methods were discussed as well. The group will further improve and refine the research of spectrum requirements and identify candidate frequency bands and the innovation of spectrum applications so as to facilitate the commercialization of SparkLink technology.

The SparkLink Alliance is composed of 125 organizations, including industry associations, universities and scientific research institutes, and enterprises engaging in chips, finished automobiles and auto parts, mobile phones and terminals, home appliances, communication, instruments, and IT. It is committed to globalization, aiming to promote next-generation wireless short-range communication technology innovation and industry ecosystem, support applications in smart cars, smart homes, smart terminals, and smart manufacturing for extreme performance requirements.
