2022-04-21

On May 27th, 2021, the second meeting of the Test Certification Group of SparkLink Alliance was successfully held in Beijing. StarPoint was invited to introduce the R & D progresses and product roadmaps of SparkLink 1.0 instruments. StarPoint launched the Jixintesting platform, a dedicated test instrument for the technical features of SparkLink short-range communication, such as high security, low latency, anti-inference, high efficiency, and concurrent multi-service. It can be used for the RF, function, and performance tests of SparkLink short-range chips, modules, and terminals. With the modular hardware architecture of StarPoint, Jixincan be configured and expanded flexibly in base band and RF to satisfy current and future SparkLink test requirements.

According to Yang Yaqiong, the Representative of StarPoint, the “Jixin” platform will be launched in this September and the development of protocol conformance and RF conformance cases will be launched afterwards. It is expected that the protocol conformance and RF conformance test ability specified by the SparkLink testing specifications will be available by the first half of 2022 to guarantee the completion of SparkLink test certification systems.

Derived from an ancient Chinese constellation, the name “Jixin” means “when everybody adds fuel, the flames rise high. The name represents the intentions of StarPoint to help SparkLink develop the new short-range communication technology, promote the sustainable optimization, and jointly make the new technology promising with industrial partners.

Founded in 2001, StarPoint specializes in the R & D and manufacturing of mobile communication test equipment. It received the Special Award of the National Award for Science and Technology Progress in 2016 because of its test technology with proprietary intellectual property rights. So far, the wireless test solutions of StarPoint have been used by various operators, certification agencies, and chip manufacturers worldwide.
