First Meeting of SparkLink Alliance Committee of Experts

On February 26th, 2021, the first meeting of SparkLink Alliance Committee of Experts was successfully held in Beijing. The committee listened to the recent work progress reported by the Secretariat and draft of the key work plans for the alliance in 2021 and offered some guidance and opinions. Besides, the committee reviewed and passed the work plans and suggestions for some special projects in 2021 as well as the first nine standards of SparkLink Release 1.0.

Wei Ran (Deputy Director of the Committee), Director of CTTL, CAICT, presided over the meeting. Wu Hequan (Director of the Committee), an academician at the CAE, Rong Hui (Deputy Director of the Committee), Vice President of AERI, Liu Xiangang (Deputy Director of the Committee), Director of the S & T and Information Security Research Center of CESI, and other committee members attended the meeting.


In the summary speech, Academician Wu Hequan highly praised the achievements since the foundation of the alliance. He proposed that the alliance should enhance the collaboration with various organizations in all projects when establishing SparkLink standards by adhering to the idea of Open Cooperationso as to guarantee that SparkLink Release 1.0 can be published promptly and efficiently.


The SparkLink Alliance is composed of 100 organizations, including industry associations, universities and scientific research institutes, and enterprises engaging in chips, finished automobiles and auto parts, mobile phones and terminals, home appliances, communication, instruments, and IT. It is committed to globalization, aiming to promote next-generation wireless short-range communication technology innovation and industry ecosystem, support applications in smart cars, smart homes, smart terminals, and smart manufacturing for extreme performance requirements.
